The department of Master of Computer Applications was established in the year 2003 with an objective of training interdisciplinary graduates and to keep pace with the present IT trends . The department is currently headed by Dr. N.P.Kavya with an experience of 23 years in the field of education and research. The department offers MCA course which is a Post Graduate Degree in computer applications . Current intake is 120 students for First Year MCA and 24 students for second year MCA under lateral entry. The department in collaboration with CSE Department has a VTU recognized R&D centre and currently 15 research scholars are pursuing their research work leading to PhD/MSc (Engg) degrees. The department has Well structured laboratories, library facility for staff & students . There are 19 teaching faculty with an average teaching experience of 12 years, which includes 4 Doctorates and 3 pursuing Ph.D.

Department of MCA has Excelled in its teaching learning methodology . The department trains students so that they have consistent good academic track record also gives priority to practical perspective.

tudents have participated in curricular and co-curricular activities and bagged prizes in various competitions at intercollegiate fests.The Wi-Fi enabled campus helps the student to pursue academic activities in a vast and peaceful environment

Periodical Technical guest lectures are arranged to make the students to be in par with current IT trends. The department organises Faculty development programs to TRAIN the TRAINERS on regular basis.

Student development programs are also organised to train students on current industry requirements like BIGDATA, Machine Learning, IOT,Python Programming,Cloud Computing, Android Development etc.
